Education

In 1994, Dr. Zheravin graduated from the Siberian Medical University, Faculty of Medical Practice. In 1998, he completed a course “Post-mastectomy syndrome” at the Siberian Medical University. In 2002, Dr. Zheravin successfully defended his PhD thesis “Organ-preserving operations using intraoperative radiotherapy in treatment of bone tumors.” In 2003, he completed a course “Diagnosis and treatment of malignant neoplasms” at the P. Hertsen Moscow Oncology Research Institute; in 2005, a course “Endoprostheses of the major joints” at the N.N. Blokhin Russian Oncological Research Center. In 2006, he received specialization in hand microsurgery from the Kemerov State Medical Academy, Scientific and Clinical Center of Health Preservation of Miners (Leninsk-Kuznetskiy). Dr. Zheravin has participated in the XI, XIII, XV and XVII international workshops “Module universal oncological and revision systems” (MUTARS Implantcast) in Majorca, Spain (2008, 2010, 2013, 2014). In 2012, he completed an AO Trauma course “Principles of surgical treatment of fractures”; in 2012, a course “Current technologies of spinal tumor treatment” at the R.R. Vreden National Medical Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics in Saint Petersburg. In 2013, he confirmed his highest qualification in oncology, in 2014 completed surgical internship. In 2014, he completed an advanced training course “Organization of control of the extent, timelines and quality of medical care as part of Obligatory Medical Insurance” at the Siberian State Medical University, Tomsk.

Professional experience

In 1994, Dr. Zheravin became a junior researcher at the Department of General Oncology of the Scientific Research Institute of the Tomsk Scientific Center. In 2006, he became a senior researcher at the National Medical Research Institute of Oncology (Tomsk). In 2008, he received the highest qualification category in oncology. In 2012, he became a clinical resident specializing in oncology at the Scientific Research Institute of Oncology (Tomsk).

Scientific interests

Dr. Zheravin specializes in cancers of the bones and joint cartilages and skin cancer and conducts surgical treatment of oncological patients.

Memberships in professional medical organizations

In 2012, Dr. Zheravin became a member of the European AO Trauma organization.
