Education
Pr. Khasanov graduated from the Kazan State Medical Institute in 1979.
Professional experience
In 1979, Pr. Khasanov started his career of a practicing doctor: he was hired as a surgeon at the Department of Emergency Surgery of the Kazan City Hospital No. 15. In 1985, he was appointed the chief physician of the Clinical Oncological Dispensary; in 2007, director of the Volga branch of the N.N. Blokhin Russian Oncological Research Center. In November of 2016, Pr. Khasanov accepted the position of the director of the Kazan State Medical Academy – branch of the Russian State Academy of Continuous Professional Education.
Apart from practicing medicine, Pr. Khasanov conducts scientific research.
Publications
Pr. Khasanov has authored more than 300 scientific publications including 10 monographs and guidelines.
Membership in professional medical organizations
Pr. Khasanov is a member of the board of the Russian Association of Oncologists, chairman of the Oncological Facilities of the Volga Federal District.
Awards
In 2005, Pr. Khasanov was awarded the 1000 Years of Kazan medal. He is the Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, laureate of the Tatarstan State Award. Pr. Khasanov is a recipient of the certificate of merit from the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
