Dr. Aliev serves as the President of the Eastern European Sarcoma Group. He is a member of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC), Société Internationale de Chirurgie Orthopédique et de Traumatologie (SICOT), European Musculo-Skeletal Oncology Society (EMSOS).

Awards

In 1999, Dr. Aliev received the State Award of the Russian Federation for Science and Technology. In 2006, he became a laureate the Award of the Government of the Russian Federation for Science and Technology. He was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland Healthcare in 2015. In 2024, he received the anniversary medal “300 years of the Russian Academy of Sciences.”

Scientific interests

Dr. Aliev’s scientific interests include high-tech treatment of metastatic bone lesions, endoprosthesis, reconstruction treatment, reconstruction surgery in oncology, spinal tumors, pelvic tumors, pediatric oncology, rehabilitation of patients with oncological diseases.

Publications

Dr. Aliev has authored 6 scientific monographs, 2 textbooks, more than 500 scientific articles, 9 inventions, and 6 innovation proposals. He had supervised 16 PhD and 16 DSc dissertations with specialization in oncology.
