Abstract
On the basis of the latest data aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC) is considered as tumor with uncertain histogenesis, affecting young group of patients. In accordance with the analysis of literature ABC can occur as a primary bone tumor (primary ABC) or as a component (secondary ABC) of a giant cell tumor, osteoblastoma, chondroblastoma and osteosarcomas. This article represents only a primary ABC. Radiology diagnostic methods, especially MRI can diagnose ABC with a high accuracy.

Abstract
Background. The goal of study is to estimate blood loss, allogeneic red blood cells, fresh frozen plasma requirement during and after different types of orthopedic oncologic surgery. Methods. From 2006 to 2012, 546 patients undergoing proximal femur, distal femur, total femur, proximal tibia, proximal humeral resections with endoprosthetic reconstruction were enrolled in the retrospective study. Operative blood loss, transfused allogeneic red blood cells, allogeneic fresh frozen plasma was calculated. Results. Median intra / post-operative blood loss by total hip replacement was 800/475, total knee - 600/840, total femur - 1600/1010, hemischoulder arthroplasty - 600/390 ml. Percent of patients received allogeneic red blood cell / fresh frozen plasma was 47/38%, 34/26%, 93/86% and 22/12% accordingly. Massive blood loss during total hip replacement was in 10%, total knee - 2%, total femur - 35%, hemischoulder arthroplasty - 5% of all cases. Conclusions. It was required to treat blood loss per one operated patient (allogeneic red blood cells / fresh frozen plasma) during total hip replacement - 308/312, total knee - 197/151, total femur - 773/700, hemischoulder arthroplasty - 136/92 ml.

Abstract
Bilateral pubic bone tumors are very rare and may be a difficult problem for surgeon. Article describes a case report of 43-year-old man with giant chondrosarcoma of left pubic bone. Article attended to surgical technic, original π-shaped surgical approach and review of literature.

SOFT TISSUE SARCOMAS

Abstract
Purpose. To evaluate the efficacy of Gleevec in patients (pts) with metastatic gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) in according to C-KIT/PDGFRA mutational status. Patients and Methods. 101 patients with metastatic GIST were treated at the N.N. Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center from 2002 to 2013. Patients received Gleevec 400 mg/day as first line therapy. 25 (37,9%) patients received surgical cytoreduction during imatinib therapy. Tumor specimens were tested for KIT exons 9, 11, 13, 17 and PDGFRA exons 18, 12, 14 mutations by direct sequencing of PCR products. DNA samples were isolated from paraffin-embedded tissues. Tumor response was assessed using RECIST 1.1. The survival curves were estimated using Kaplan-Meier method by SPSS v. 13.0 for Windows. Results. KIT/PDGFRA mutational status was determined in 66 (65,3%) patients with metastatic GIST. C-KIT mutations were found in 54 (81,8%) patients, PDGFRA - 2 (3%), wild type - 10 (15,2%). С-KIT mutation spectrum was presented by exon 11 mutations in 42 (77,8%) pts, exon 9 - 10 (18,5%) pts, exon 13 - 1 (1,9%) pts, exon 17 - 1 (1,9%) pts. Both PDGFRA mutations were found in 18 exon. Tumor response of imatinib was assessed in 56 (84,4%) pts. Objective response (complete response + partial response) in patients with C-KIT exon 11, exon 9 were 70,3% and 22,2%, respectively; median time-to-progression - 29 and 9, respectively (p=0,000); median overall survival - 79 and 26, respectively (p=0,006). Conclusion. The most common GIST mutation was C-KIT exon 11. Efficacy of Gleevec therapy was superior in C-KIT exon 11 mutations.

TUMORS OF THE SKIN

Abstract
Results of the treatment of 131 patients with locally advanced malignant neoplasms of skin and soft tissues are presented. All patients underwent one-off plastic surgery. The technique and the method of instrumental monitoring and assessing the viability of donor transplants in plastic surgeries in patients with locally advanced malignant tumors of the skin and soft tissues. Based on the obtained results, an optimal tactics of the treatment of patients with locally advanced malignant tumors of the skin and soft tissues was developed.

ORTHOPAEDIC PATHOMORPHOLOGY

Abstract
Summery. Bone tumors vary widely in their biological behavior. Standard pathologic procedures and morphologic examination of the specimens is an attempt to better understand the nature of the tumor, predict the behavior of malignant sarcomas and validate the diagnosis. In our routine work we succeeded because of everyday friendly support from collaboration of pathologists. We especially want to thank for all their time, knowledge and expert opinion our colleague from Mayo Clinic Rochester Minnesota (professors: Carrie Y. Inwards, Andrew L. Folpe, Andre M. Oliveira) and Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli (Franco Bertoni and Patrizia Bacchini).

REAR CLINICAL CASES

Abstract
Chondrosarcomas are considered to be one of the most aggressive tumors which are of high metastatic and recurrence potential. The basic method of treatment is surgical method. A very rare medical case of chondrosarcoma of the maxilla in 29 years old patient is reported. First stage of the treatment was surgical. special separative plate was performed for primary rehabilitation by the method of vacuum shaping and intraoperative modeling of the palate part of the plate and teeth as well with the use of autopolymer resin. Course of the postoperative beam 3-dimensional conformal radiation therapy was performed. The course of the aduvant polychemotherapy is being performed. follow-up continues, patient is alive during 5 months.
