Education

In 1978, Pr. Moiseenko graduated from the I.P. Pavlov First Leningrad Medical Institute. In 1984, he successfully defended his PhD thesis, in 1994 – his DSc dissertation.

Professional experience

In 1978, Pr. Moiseenko started working at the N.N. Petrov Scientific Research Institute of Oncology where he had spent more than 30 years, starting as a resident and ending at the position of deputy director of scientific research.

In 2013, Pr. Moiseenko became the head of the Saint Peterburg Clinical Scientific and Practical Center for Specialized Types of Medical Care (oncological).

Publications

Pr. Moiseenko has authored 4 monographs and more than 350 publications in Russian and international press. He serves as the editor-in-chief of the Practical Oncology journal – publication of the Russian School of Oncologists founded by Pr. Moiseenko.

Under Pr. Moiseenko’s supervision six DSc and nineteen PhD dissertations were defended.

Memberships in professional medical organizations

Pr. Moiseenko is the member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO).

Awards

In 2002, Pr. Moiseenko received a certificate of appreciation of the Governor of Saint Petersburg “For Merit in Healthcare” and the “300 Years of Saint Petersburg” medal. In 2004, he received the Award of the Government of the Russian Federation for science and technology. In 2005, he was awarded the title of 2005 Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation.
