Belysheva, Tatiana S.

Dr. Belysheva has vast experience in diagnosis and treatment of cutaneous pigmented and vascular malignancies in children and adults. She has developed and implemented in clinical practice a unique laser technique for treatment of cutaneous vascular pathology. She helps patients from all of Russia, CIS states, and neighboring countries.

Education

In 2003, Dr. Belysheva graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medical Practice of the Sechenov First Moscow State University. Between 2003 and 2005, she was a clinical resident at the same university with specialization in dermatology/venerology. In 2008, she successfully defended her PhD thesis “The effect of selective pulsed light therapy on involutions (pathogenetic rationale for effectiveness).” Between 2008 and 2009, she trained as a clinical intern at the Sechenov First Moscow State University specializing in oncology.


In 2017, she successfully defended her DSc dissertation “Contemporary strategy for diagnosis and treatment of cutaneous pigmented and vascular malignancies in children” at the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology.

She received additional training at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich (2010), at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York (2011), at the Vascular Birthmarks Institute of New York (2011), and at the Beckman Laser Institute in Irvine (2011, 2013). She also completed an international training course on dermoscopy in Graz, Austria (2010).

In 2014, she completed professional retraining to specialize in pediatric oncology. In 2020, she received the highest qualification category in dermatology/venerology from the Federal Medical-Biological Agency.

Professional experience

Since 2010, Dr. Belysheva works as a dermatologist-venerologist at the Scientific Consulting Department of the Scientific Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology of the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology. Between 2013 and 2018, she worked as a senior researcher at the same institute, and in 2018 she became a leading researcher.

Scientific interests

Dr. Belysheva’s scientific interests include skin oncology, dermoscopy of cutaneous lesions, laser treatment of hemangiomas and vascular malformations of the skin, correction of dermatological toxicity, genetic disorders of the skin associated with malignant tumors.

Publications

Dr. Belysheva has authored more than 80 articles in Russian and international scientific journals, coauthored clinical guidelines of the Ministry of Health of Russia on cutaneous and mucosal melanoma in children (2017, 2020) and infantile hemangiomas (2020). She also coauthored the first in Russia textbook for doctors on dermoscopy, chapters in the national guidelines “Antitumor drug therapy.”

Membership in professional medical organizations

Dr. Belysheva is a member of the board of the Society of Children’s Dermatologists, member of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology (EADV), Russian Society of Children’s Oncologists (RSCO).
